Happy Kid's Day!

I started a new tradition in our family- Kid's Day. I mean, there's Mother's Day, Father's Day, what about kids (I know you are thinking "Every day is kid's day!")? So, I found out today is Mexican Kid's Day (or something like that)!

This morning I woke up and came down to see on the counter a sheet that said "Happy Kid's Day!" and some presents next to it. There was a coupon book (I can't wait to use some of those!) that is for kids and Fablehaven: Keys to the Demon Prison for McCall and I to share. We went to breakfast at the Original Pancake House and went to the library. It was fun!

Brexton Kyler

Aww! My sister had her baby (as many of you probably know) and he is adorable! Before he was born, we had a baby shower for him (online!) and it was fun. it is weird to think that I am an aunt- and Mom and Dad are grandparents!!

Brexton is 7 pounds 10 ounces, 20 inches long, and a great (new) part of our lives. Love ya Baby!

The Temple Trip

A while ago, Mom and I went on a Mother-Daughter Night thing-a-ma-bob. It was fun. We drove to the Northland Inn, and stayed in a nice suite on the 5th (or something) floor. At first we thought it wouldn't be too fancy, but it was... I loved it! That night we hung out- I bought a CD I wanted, we went to Target, and we got snacks. We watched TV- Shrek was on- and were going to go swimming but the pool was closed.

The next morning, we went to the St. Paul Minnesota temple. it was nice- my first time! We went shopping a bit then went home. Thanks for the fun, Mom!






And, yesterday our ward went to do work in the temple. It was really enjoyable (my 2nd time) :)

The Roadshow

Now, I was in YWs. I was (and am still) SO excited! They gave me a medallion, a book, journal, you know the rest. I ended up with 3 For the Strength of Youth pamphlets! I got my temple recommend (can't wait!), and a lot of fun stuff happened.

With YWs comes mutual. With mutual comes a roadshow. With a roadshow comes a dance.

Let me back up. My first mutual was combined and playing Bunco (the boy's idea). After only a few weeks of mutual, we started working on our roadshow. It was The Courageous Youth Hunter. I had fun and was part of a dance in our "cultural event".

After we had a cast party. And STAKE DANCE!!!!!!! I got to go. It was SO fun. Being my first dance, I was ReAlLy excited! I fast danced, I slow danced. Here is my schedule. LOL


Slow Dancing

...they had this spoon game and we had to hold hands.

It went something like that. This is random...but... I WON ANIMAL CRACKERS! lol The whole thing was ssssooooooooo fun. I will always remember that dance.

My Birthday

I know. This topic should have been covered a LONG time ago, but better late than never, right? My birthday. Oh, it was great.





I had a party with some of my friends. it was covered in PINK and GREEN! We pretended we were at a hotel. My family was the staff- we rang for roomservice, had a morning buffet, complimentary items (eyemasks, shampoo, conditioner), and PARTIED. But just a tip- NEVER LET YOUR GUESTS PICK OUT THE MOVIE! We heard

"That movie is scary! "

"That movie is cheesy! "

"No, not ThAt one!"

Finally we decided on something (it wasn't on my list of choices!) and had fun. But- I wish I hadn't fallen asleep LOL.

One thing that was especially fun was that Marissa visited the day of the party! We felt her tummy and the girls got to help think of baby names.



Even after the party more fun was coming! But, uh, this post is getting long so... I'll write another with the rest!

Essays

That's right, I'm back. By this point I don't know if anyone will even think of checking my blog! So, we did these essays at school a couple months ago. We sent them to a contest. Out of the whole state, 3 people in our class were part of the top 55 letters. Not only that, but the FIRST PLACE WINNER was among us! We found out and we all knew why- hers was amazing! She is entering it in a national competition and gets a reward for it! She really has talent.


It's cool to say that the winner was in our class :)

HP Testing

We got a flyer last week about HP testing. It was due, well, TODAY. This morning we searched the whole house looking for it. So we just email my teacher, no big deal. Why am I telling you this? I HAVE NO IDEA....well, I guess I am a little nervous. I signed up for all of them and hope it'll work out. Also, we're going to have to test in Jan........... oh well.

I'm A Writer

I've always had a good imagination. I like writing... kinda. But a journal.... it gets hard! You can probably understand that the way I forget to write for a bit.
My friend gave me a journal a few months ago (thank you Maddie). Today I decided to catch up a bit. Now, if it's been a year...I don't try to catch up. this time, it is a couple of months... but considering we have been on about 4 trips already... it gets complated. Well, it's almost summer and I have a few things to do.

Daddy Daughter Campout

As I may have mentioned in my last post, I went on a Daddy- Daughter Campout. McCall was there, too. It was a lot of fun- we had hotdogs and cooked them on this portable stove thingy. I really like Fritos and I had one of those mini bags plus Vitamin Water (YUM).

I played with some other girls- games like Ghosts in The Graveyard... on second thought, that is about all we played! Late in the night we had smores and a really good fireside!

Now on to bugs... some of you know that I FREAK OUT about bugs! There were a lot of Daddy-Long-Legs there (hehehe I just realized DADDY-Long-Legs... we were at a DADDY-Daughter-Date!!! Funny......... no? NVM). Now I didn't freak out much because they can't bite... but I still freaked out when I thought one was on my hand (I still believe it was there!!!!)! My friend was freaking out though and she was all like, "You are over your fear of bugs, huh?" and I was all like "NO WAY!" kind of a thing....

Well, it was a lot of fun! Spread the word (again) that my blog is up and running again....

Aunt Abby

So, just to straighten this all up: I am going to be an Aunt soon! Most of you know this but Rissa Mar is pregnant! I am so excited!!!!!!!!! I found out when I was at my friend's house (Pooky's owner) and she guessed even before I called Rissa! And the comment I made about about Lexi? I was just saying her last name is Hassie.

Another thing about Lexi- I believe she was born on potato day! Strange, eh?

Alexis (Lexi) Taylor Hassie

A friend of mine made me a sock monkey (his sister loves them and has one named Pooky). It is adorable... I will post pictures later. The name is Alexis (Lexi) Taylor Hassie (I think Rissa and Justin know why I called it that... maybe......)

Today we are playing games... sock monkey tea parties... sock monkey GIANT game board the made... and a lot of FUN!

Well, I gotta go do my concert as Alexis Texas. I am like Hannah Montana... I am undercover.

Animal Crossing

I bought the game Animal Crossing: City Folk. I have a lot of upgrades and I play about everyday. If you play, post it and tell me how you feel about it and what your progress is.


My character has pink hair and cute pink heart clothes that I designed at the shop.

Nauvoo

I loved Nauvoo. We went there with family. There is just so much history and I was reading about it in The Work and The Glory. Speaking of which, I am on the 9th book! It is so intense and so interesting. I am sorry I have not been writing for a long time. Bye

School

School went out about a month ago. I am worried. i feel summer is going to go by REALLY fast. I went on two trips to Utah, both very fun. Also both of them are family reunions.


Also, this is random, but I am in LOVE with The Work and The Glory. I can't remember if I told you about it yet but I love and i am on the 6th book.

It's funny, right now I am at a friends house and earlier we were trying to learn the moves for Michael Jackson's Thriller. As you know, I wanted Adam to win American Idol. I watched last night. You know, it could be the best. I really do like Chris- he is good. I just thought Adam was very unique. You know, Adam will get a career either way. I really do like both of them.
